A Draft Law on the Development of Academic Staff in the Republic of Bulgaria

"The Managing Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Association supports the project, proposed by the Minister of Education, Youth and Science, concerning the changes introduced to the current Academic Degrees and Academic Ranks Act.

The objective of the proposed is to introduce an appropriate arrangement of the relations in the sphere of academic staff development in the country, with regard to the grounds and rules for granting academic degrees and academic ranks, as well as appointment of academic staff, according to their specific qualification.

Adopting an Act on the Development of Academic Staff in the Republic of Bulgaria will be an important step in asserting the universities and Higher Institutions authority in the country, as well as their criteria for qualifying the researchers and academic staff employed in them.........."
