Bulgarian inflation up to 0.9 y-o-y in February

Bulgarian consumer price index rose to 0.9 percent year-on-year in February, from 0.4 percent a month earlier, the National Statistical Institute reported on Friday. The prices slowed to 0.6 percent on a monthly basis, the data showed.
Food prices in February climbed 1.5 percent on a monthly basis with the biggest changes registered in fruit and vegetables. Papers (all types) price increased 31.5 percent, tomato price added 18.7 percent and cucumbers raised 18.6 percent. On the other hand was the price of meats - it was down 1.7 percent and citrus - 1.5 percent.
The prices of cloths and shoes were down 1.5 percent, the NSI reported.
